My Love, My Life

I saw the perfect wedding,
A vision so clear;
Love stronger than ever,
Two hearts held close and dear.

A virgin meaning kept through years,
The meaning shall cause a gorgeous sight;
Slowly walking down the isle;
Lace and satin all in white.

And to the man who is awaiting,
Her father walking by her side;
To him he will give his very last daughter,
So that in his arms she'll ere abide.

And Lord I do ask but one thing now,
That You fulfill what's in my heart;
Protect me Lord from this cold world,
That my love for You will never depart.

And Lord I pray if this You do,
My love for You will grow even stronger;
I will marry the man You chose for me,
And as part of Your church I will stay longer.

By Cassandra Leigh Froese a virgin indeed,
Written at 11:15 pm on this day of September;
The burden on my heart is written,
Fulfill Your plan that this poem be remembered.
