To: My dearest sister Cassandra
My dearest sister, how I miss you so,
How your eyes light up, with your smile aglow.
You encouraged me with each passing day,
When I woke up and went on my way.
I can hardly accept that you had to go,
Although for a purpose and that I know.
What I wouldn’t give just to have you back,
Guiding my way when I went off track.
There are many things that remind me of you,
We always had fun, whatever we’d do.
You were so kind to help me all the time,
You gave me a quarter when you only had a dime.
There are many things we were supposed to do,
Have our weddings, and have our kids too.
When I think of it now, I’m so glad,
That you pursued every chance you had.
I admire you Cassie, in every way,
I hope that I’ll be like you someday.
Telling people about God among the chatter,
Every chance you got, as if nothing else mattered.
I know that the pain will never go away,
I hope that I’ll be happy someday.
There is only one thing now that comforts me,
To know you’re with God and forever you’ll be!
With love always and forever,
Your sister Brigitte
