Preaching the Gospel

When we receive the Lord Jesus we receive a life that delights in being shared. It is normal and very healthy for a believer to want to share his or her enjoyment with others. But many of us find this difficult to do. We may try until those around us are weary of our speaking without the joy of seeing even one of them respond as we had hoped.

We need to realize that only God can give life; none of us can. So, helping others to receive Christ as life requires that the Spirit is working at the same time within the hearer's heart. There are conditions that must be met before the Spirit of God will work through your speaking. The very first one is that you must have allowed the Spirit to work in your own heart. Thus, if you have not yet received the Lord Jesus, we urge you to read "Enjoying God as Life" and allow the Spirit to touch your own heart with His Word.

This section contains two parts of a training on preaching the gospel that was presented to the church here. The first part entitled, "Basic Principles of Gospel Preaching", presents things that can annul the effectivenes of our speaking and how to take care of them. The second part entitled, "Presenting the Gospel of Life", shows how the matter of receiving the Lord Jesus as life can be presented from the Bible in a thorough and convincing way.
