Lesson 3
The Two Trees

Goal:
The goal of this lesson is to differentiate the spirit from the natural concept of doing good.
Gen. 2:9
And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, as well as the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Luke 18:19
But Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One—God.
Rom. 5:7-10
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will anyone die, though perhaps for the good man someone would even dare to die.
8 But God commends His own love to us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified in His blood, we will be saved through Him from the wrath.
10 For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled,
Isa. 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So My ways are higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Luke 23:39-43
39 And one of the criminals who were hanged there blasphemed Him, saying, Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him and said, Do you not even fear God, since you are in the same judgment?
41 And we justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for what we did, but this Man has done nothing amiss.
42 And he said, Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.
43 And He said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise.
