Sharing Life

When we receive the Lord Jesus we receive a life that delights in being shared. It is normal and very healthy for a believer to want to share his or her enjoyment with others. But many of us find this difficult to do. We may try until those around us are weary of our speaking without the joy of seeing even one of them respond as we had hoped. We have made an attempt to share what we have learned from our own exercise in the pages on preaching the gospel". There is quite a bit of instruction and material there. Do not feel like you have to use all of it. We have found that if a person is open to the gospel then helping them to understand and be thoroughly impressed with John 3:16, 1 John 5:12, and John 1:12 can be adequate to bring them into a dynamic and living experience of receiving the Lord as life.

After someone opens to receive the Lord we often find ourselves with an even bigger problem. How can we help the new believer to grow spiritually? Someone may be ready to receive the Lord the first time we talk to them but helping him grow is never that simple. It requires diligent labor for months or years before he will be able to go on in the church life without specific, personal care. We have developed some points of training and lesson outlines for helping a new believer to grow.
