This is a fairly in-depth account of John Wesley's life and ministry. It does not just touch on the outward aspects of his life but deals very much with his inner thoughts and feelings. This is possible because John kept detailed diaries throughout his life.
Like Best: John Wesley was one of the great evangelists of the eighteenth century. He struggled very hard to live a proper Christian life and ministry even before he was saved. Of course he couldn't make it until he found the peace and joy of faith in Christ for himself. Then he became an effective and tireless gospel preacher who mainly preached outdoors.
Like Least: John Wesley's method of striving for a righteous and holy Christian life was according to a set of what he called "General Rules" for a life worthy of the gospel. He did not see what it means to live and walk by the spirit.
